What is.. Handmade by Robots?

Ambulatory biological units like yourselves require warmth and soft embraces. We robots know not of such things.

Our best approximation is thus enclosed: the appearance of interwoven organic fibers into recognizable characters from your popular culture, though made from solidified polymers. Our research indicates they would be given and received as gestures of friendship and love. May your acquaintances find value in such meaningless activities.

Unlike most other sites, we stock all our products in our own warehouse. We do not rely on anyone else to get your instock order out the door. Single item orders are picked, processed and packaged in a matter of hours, not days. Multiple-item orders are hand-packed and usually out the door in a day or so.

Shipping Methods

USA Orders

Orders are generally shipped via the US Postal Service and will be delivered by your local mail carrier. We use DHL/Global Mail to expedite your package and speed delivery times. This means that your package is flown to the nearest USPS hub and injected into the US Postal Stream as close to your final destination as possible.

International Orders

Are generally shipped via Expedited airmail in conjunction with DHL/Global Mail and your local postal service. Your package is delivered by your regular postal worker. DHL/Global Mail helps us expedite delivery by flying your package closer to your destination before injecting the mail into the postal stream.

Please be prepared to pay the Customs Duty your country charges. We are not and cannot be responsible for what your country charges. We do not declare packages at less than paid value and we do not make special accommodations such as opening your package and only shipping discs.

We are required to charge and remit Value Added Taxes on shipments to certain countries as a requirement for doing transactions to those countries. If we are required, you will see this amount in your shopping cart and your order will be shipped to you VAT prepaid.

For a variety of reasons, the list of countries that we ship to can change. Please check the ship to country list in the shopping cart to see if your country is listed.

Payment Options

Credit Cards

Handmade by Robots accepts the following major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number as they appear on your credit card statement. Incorrect information will cause a delay in shipping your order or we may not be able to process your order.

Upon acceptance of your order, your credit card will be authorized for the total amount of the order. This is not a charge, you may notice that your account will show this as a “Pending” charge. Once the order is shipped, your credit card will be charged for the shipped items, shipping and processing and any applicable taxes

If we are unable to fill your back order/special order item(s) within 45 days of the order date, the items will be cancelled from your order. You will receive notification of this cancellation via email.

PayPal

We also accept PayPal as form of payment. Please be advised that if you are using PayPal, payment for the entire order will be deducted from your account when the order is placed. Your order will be processed as soon as your PayPal payment clears. You can expect a longer delay if paying via bank draft. Credit/Debit card purchases tend to clear faster

If we are unable to fill your back order/special order item(s) within 45 days of the order date, the items will be cancelled from your order. You will receive notification of this cancellation via email and a refund for the item(s) will be issued within 24hrs of cancellation.

Sales Tax

If your state requires us to collect and remit sale or other taxes, these amounts will be reflected in your shopping cart.

Retail Delivery Fee

If your state requires a Retail Delivery Fee, you will see the fee in the shopping cart during checkout.

Tracking my Package

To track your package, log into "My Account" and choose an order to review. If a tracking number is available, it will be displayed in the order detail with a link directly to the shipping company. If a tracking number is not available, or the tracking number is not valid when clicking the shipping company link, please contact us. Our Sales Support Department will be happy to assist you in providing the status of your order, including tracking updates.

Order Status

It is possible to check the status of your order by logging into "My Account". Once logged into your account click “View details in Order History. You will see a listing of your orders with Handmade by Robots. To see the status of an order simply click on View to see your order details.

Order Processing/Shipping

Our sophisticated warehouse utilizes the latest technological innovations to help ensure your order is out the door the same day we get it. Near-perfect accuracy is guaranteed by our computerized picking lists, handheld barcode scanners and barcode driven sorting machines. Our team of highly motivated employees watch over the entire process every step of the way.

Returning an Item

Your satisfaction guaranteed!

If you have received damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped merchandise please notify Customer Service within 30 days and follow the Returns Procedures below for a full refund and/or to request a replacement order.

If you simply changed your mind, please return it within 30 days. Please keep in mind that in this case we’ll ONLY accept returns of UNOPENED merchandise in perfect resalable condition. Original shipping and handling charges cannot be refunded, and you will be responsible for all costs associated with the return shipment.

Returns Procedures

Please follow the simple steps below to ensure a fast and accurate processing of your return and credit or re-shipment:

1. Contact Customer Service

You must contact Customer Service to inform them of the damaged/defective or not as ordered item that you received. You may email our customer service using our CONTACT US Section.

Please include the following information in your e-mail:
  • Your order confirmation number
  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Item UPC# (barcode)
  • Product Name
  • Reason for return
  • Action to be taken - Refund or replacement if damaged or defective

2. Pack and Send

  • Fill out the return label (provided on the back of your invoice).
  • Enclose merchandise and this completed form in a sturdy package (the original package is preferred).
  • Enclose the original packing slip/invoice in the package.
  • Affix the return label to the outside of the package and send to the following address:

Opt-Out

Concerning images, or product descriptions

We try our best to provide up-to-date images and descriptions but occasionally make errors. In most cases, the only information we have available on a given title is what we have listed. If the image we show is different than the description, please let us know before you buy. We don't want you to be disappointed when you receive something other than what you thought you purchased.
